Forecasts for Cell Phone Access

Every forecast on this site is accessible as a gif animated image. The example at the bottom of the page shows the forecast for London, England. These are designed for the typical small display of cell phones. You can access your forecast from any place that has cell phone coverage. This is great for remote observatory sites that have no internet access. If you find yourself observing away from home and need to know the night sky transparency forecast then this is for you. You need to have a web enabled phone to use this feature. Just like all the forecasts on this site, the animated images are continuously updated as NOAA provides the newest forecast data. The directory listing for all animated images is here.
Instructions for use:
You need to know the name of the specific location (for example, London). See the directory listing above for the list.
Note the address is CASE SeNsItIvE. For some locations the city name begins with a Capital Letter and in others it begins with a lower case letter. Check the list to be sure for your location. Then open the web access feature of your cell phone and enter (and bookmark for future use) the address:

And you will get this animated forecast for London:
